Web Inventory Manager (WIM)

Web Inventory Manager is a convenient program to track, record, and research inventory.

Managers find WIM is easy to use and lets them immediately gain control over food cost and zero in on waste down to the specific ingredient.

The program was built by people who know a manager’s time is best spent taking care of customers and serving quality food, not bogged down learning a software program. It is built with interruptions in mind, with minimal key-ins.

WIM is fully automated and is deeply integrated with your food vendor, using the most recent catalog information and prices, capturing electronic invoices and credit memos.

Inventory Entry

Entering weekly or daily inventory is simple and straight-forward using Syrus’ online Count Sheets, which are customized to your counting preference. Syrus keeps up with Unit of Measure changes and conversions.

Automated Electronic Invoice Verification

Automated real-time food vendor invoices are integrated with WIM. Just a click of the mouse and all the receipt and pricing information automatically flows from your food supplier into your Syrus back-office and reporting tools.

Research

Managers have a unique tool to easily research theoretical and actual food cost with the Theoretical Ingredient Summary Report.

Transfers

With the Transfer Tracking tool, managers can easily transfer products between stores and have an online detailed record of the transfers.

All of these features and more combine to give your managers one convenient tool to accurately record and monitor actual food cost usage versus ideal.

Syrus Suggested Ordering

Syrus Suggested Ordering (SSO) is the only fully integrated ordering program in the industry which gives accurate ordering projections based on current inventory levels and anticipated product needs.

We combine real-time information with a simple interface to give the manager a quick, convenient, and reliable tool to order food, paper, and supplies.

Other ordering applications require the manager to manually calculate product needs with each order. If any ‘suggestion’ is provided at all, these applications typically only show a history of what’s been ordered in the past. This simply perpetuates waste or stock outs, and sends the manager scurrying through the store checking inventory levels and manually calculating needs for each order.

Part of the beauty of SSO is its simplicity. Projection algorithms are sophisticated, but the interface to submit the order is simple and easy to use. It is literally three simple steps:

Benefits:

  • Reduce spoilage, waste and the possibility of theft
  • Improve quality with fresher products
  • More efficient product rotations using FIFO
  • Reduce labor and minimize risk with less borrow/lend activity
  • Reduce administrative time for the manager
  • Reduce overall food cost

Real results and testimonies from satisfied SSO customers:

Reduction in Theoretical Food Cost Variance of 0.10% ($1,250 savings per year)

“By ordering just what I need, I’m throwing away less product and with less on my shelves, fewer items walk out the back door.” – Marylin, Wendy’s Manager, Hartford, CT

Savings of 1 ½ hours of labor each week (over $600 savings per year)

“It takes less time to do my orders because I don’t have to walk around the store and manually calculate what I need. Plus, my product transfers have almost disappeared, so I’m spending no time dropping off or picking up product, or filling out all the paperwork needed for transfers.” – Roger, Single Unit Manager, Seattle, WA

Average reduction of $270 in weekly inventory levels

“My managers are spending less time counting inventory. Fewer products are on the shelf to spoil or disappear and more money is in the bank instead of tied up in inventory.” – Steve, Divisional Vice President, Indianapolis, IN

Daily and Intraday Targets

React immediately to waste on high usage items with Daily and Intraday Target tools that are based on the same reliable recipes and inventory data that are in the weekly reporting.

Internet-based information ensures that single- and multi-unit managers can view accurate, real-time information on all of the high-priced products that directly impact your bottom line.
